Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Thursday’s trading in the green, encouraged by the growth of three sectors.
By 10:00 am Qatar time, the general index grew 0.24% to 9.180.31 points, adding 21.54 points.
Turnover amounted to QAR 48.2 million after 2.9 million shares traded through 692 transactions.
The goods and services sector topped the QSE’s gainers adding 0.86% after Widam Food Company surged 6.03%.
Similarly, the banking sector rose 0.23% on the back of Al Ahli’s 5.94% hike.
Meanwhile, the real estate sector topped the markets four losers dropping 1.05% as Ezdan Holding Group and Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development declined 2.35% and 1.19%, respectively.
Qatar First Bank, which advanced 3.50%, spearheaded the QSE’s trading volume with 1.5 million shares, while Widam led the market in terms of liquidity with QAR 15.4 million.
